Praying For Kenya

Far be it from me to ever stop praying for the well-being of my beautiful country Kenya.

I am calling upon you as well, both men and women from all the villages, towns and cities in this nation to lift up a prayer before the Glorious Father of our Lord, Jesus the Christ.

“O LORD, you are the LORD our refuge, and you richly bless all those who call on your name. May my supplication and cry come before you. Let your lamp shine upon Kenya and lead us to walk by your light through darkness. O LORD, in your love, keep us from the pit of destruction. Do not let our hopes be dashed. In your righteousness, bring us out of trouble.

Sustain our nation according to your promise. Uphold us and we will be delivered. Let there be no cry of distress in our streets O LORD. Do not strip Kenya of its honour. Do not uproot our hope. Do not shroud our paths in darkness. Bestow upon us the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. Rule over and still any surging sea against this nation LORD. Let your purpose concerning this nation stand LORD. Bring about what you have said concerning Kenya.

O LORD, for the sake of your name lead and guide us; restore us; mend our fractures; Save us and help us with your right hand. Deliver us. Give us aid. Let it be said of Kenya by other nations of the earth that ‘the LORD has done great things for her’.

O LORD, give our political leaders your wonderful counsel and magnificent wisdom. Let them gain a heart of wisdom. Remove any blindness in them that they may carry out the LORD’s righteous will. Let your purposes over Kenya prevail over their plans.

Our LORD and our God, may you bless Kenya with precious dew from heaven above and with deep waters that lie below; with the best the sun brings forth and the finest the moon can yield; with the choicest gift of the ancient mountains and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills; with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness and the favour of him who dwelt in the burning bush. Let us feast in the abundance of the seas, on the treasures hidden in the sand. Let us bathe our feet in oil. Let us dwell in safety; let us rest secure. Be our help and shield against our foes. In Jesus name I pray, Amen and Amen.” www.mskigwa.com
